The following is a reflection of my own perceptions and experiences as I go through the adaptation process and the varying stages of culture shock while living in Panama City, Panama. Kiosks are still there, but some of my ambulatory vendor friends seem to have disappeared. The empanada-selling Paisa hasn't been seen in about a week. My Peruvian friend has been MIA for 3 days. Sigh...
